Summer was born and raised in Fresno, California.
After being a caregiver for her mother in law, her career was pointed in a new direction. She found herself learning how to support the Central Valley's aging community. In 2021 she joined the Oyuna Hospice team as a Marketing Director. When offered the opportunity to bring awareness to what hospice can do to support people and their families she knew her career had a new purpose in helping others. Summer supports her community in as many ways as she can. She has served on several college advisory boards, helped bring food and resources to local seniors, raised money for the Alzheimer's Association and currently serves as the President for the Fresno County Women's Chamber of Commerce. In 2019 she was awarded a Trail Blazer Award from her peers in the senior industry. In 2021 she was honored to be featured in the business journal. Summer is a proud wife and mother to three amazing boys, two spunky dogs, and two bossy cats. She enjoys traveling to the beach, taking trips to Yosemite as a family, eating good sushi and trying to make new recipes.
