Martin
McIntyre, has 25 years experience in managing water and wastewater systems.
He has been the City of Fresno's Water System Manager for eight years,
and the Director of the Department of Public Utilities for the past
three years. Martin is the City's chief negotiator for Central Valley
Project (CVP) contract renewal and is the lead on several energy projects.
Martin was the recipient of the Year 2000 Excellence in Public Service
Award sponsored by the Fresno Business Council and The Fresno Bee.
He
was the project manager of a five agency, multi-year planning effort,
culminating in adoption of the Fresno Water Resource Management Plan.
With a fifty year planning horizon, this Plan is a blueprint for sound
management of the community's water resources long into the future.
Mr.
Mcintyre has planned and facilitated a number of innovative water management
programs and frequently stresses the importance of the water industry
avoiding a replay of the energy debacle.
