Keith A. Kelley

Keith A. Kelley is the President and CEO of the Fresno West Coalition for Economic Development, an organization whose mission is to improve the physical and socio-economic conditions of the Southwest Fresno area and its residents. Keith was the Community Co-Chair for the City of Fresno’s successful Empowerment Zone application. The Coalition is presently in partnership with Fresno State University and has developed a business development center that assists interested parties in developing business plans. The Coalition is also involved with the California Endowment and Rockefeller Foundation’s California Works for Better Health (CWBH) as a collaborative partner with two other organizations, Fresno Center for New Americans and One by One Leadership. Keith was recently recognized for his economic development activities by receiving an NAACP Image Award. A Community Activist for the positive change of Fresno, he is relentlessly busy developing bridges between all segments of the community.

A few of his present and past boards, committees, memberships, and organization affiliations are: Present member of Mayor Alan Autry’s advisory committee; Board member of the National Congress of Community Economic Development based in Washington, D.C.; member of Collaborative Regional Initiative ‘s Innovative Culture Committee; Vice Chairman of the West Fresno Health Coalition; member of the West Fresno Community Voices, Steering Committee; member and community co-chair for Fresno's successful bid for 2000 All America City. He was also the past President of the African American Historical and Cultural Museum of the San Joaquin Valley; past Vice President of the Fresno Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Fresno class; Past Secretary of Barrios Unidos, a gang intervention organization; Care Fresno Board; NAACP; Salvation Army Advisor Committee; Joyful Noise Music Ministries, Inc.; Board member, Fresno County Economic Opportunities Commission Round Table Committee; Fresno's committee for California’s Sesquicentennial Uptown Committee; Fulton/Lowell Implementation Committee, City of Fresno’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Committee; Congressman Calvin M. Dooley’s Race Relations Committee; and Cultural Arts District committee member. Keith is also a new entry to North American Directory of Who’s Who Publications.

Keith is finishing his degree in Master of Administrative Leadership from Fresno Pacific University. He also holds a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Management Organizational Development.

Keith is married to Jacqueline O’Neil Kelley and has three children. Jacqueline is one of the O’Neil sisters who wrote and sang the official song of Fresno, California.
